[Closed] Day(care) Dreamers
Your name is Dave Strider. Usually you'd start this by saying how cool you are, but that's not actually true. You aren't actually all that cool nor do you actually care. You're old enough to have graduated college but you never went. You just can't really do this people thing, which is why it's so surprising as to how you got your job. You're a daycare worker at some place in the richer area of the city. Kids love you. You have no idea why. It's really weird, but you're not going to try and make a big deal out of it. You get paid well after all. Even though it's your main income, you actually do fairly well with your website. You DJ and you release original music on it and it makes pretty good money. Enough that if you ever lost your job, it would still support you.
You kind of grew up as this really tall, skinny shit. It's your damn metabolism and the only reason you aren't as skinny as you are is because your Bro made sure of it and you actually work out when you have time. That doesn't help with you being paler than any Twilight vampire and being assaulted by freckles. Also your hair kind of freaks people out or everyone thinks you dye it or something. Whatever.
It so happens that you're waiting for the last kid to get picked up. You're still trying to figure out how on Earth Rose somehow became a mom, but whatever. Apparently someone else is picking the kid up today and he's waiting for that person to do so. Seriously, it would be nice if they weren't so late.

The point is- I KISSED DAVE. I literally shoved my mouth directly onto his in the biggest smooch I have ever had before. He didn't kiss back...proooobably because he was shocked. Fuck I don't know.
Rose I'm really confused. I think I like boys??? DAVE for that matter.

But let's take this one step at a time.
First of all, we always pegged you as someone who is more lax in their sexuality, despite you always saying that you liked the ladies.
Second of all, I don't see what the problem is with liking boys and more specifically, Dave.
Please do enlighten me as to what is wrong with this.

I just...
:(
Even Dave is way too out of my league Rose!
no subject
And I will probably not be the last to say that you hardly give yourself enough credit. It doesn't hurt to try.

No amount of talking him up will ever fix what I've already wrecked.

You still have to pick my daughter up on Monday. And I will have to resort to measures you rather not have me attempt if you're late again.
no subject
ROSE.
This is a class-A emergency, okay?
I really like Dave, and I didn't know I really like Dave till my lips were all over him. I made it look like I was being any other douchebag he's been with!
I don't work Monday, so I definitely won't forget. Sorry about today. Stress of retail, you know the song and dance.

I'm going to give you a tidbit of information in Dave's way of dating. He always goes out with someone whom he knows he will not stay with it. Dave fears commitment, so he ends up with people he will end up hating or end up leaving. He will go out of his way to be difficult, for the sake of that break up.
Not that it makes him a lousy lover, by any means. He has it drilled into his mind that someone like him is undeserving of a lasting relationship, so when he's been with someone too long, he potentially freaks out about it.
I personally don't know that song and dance. Remember, I'm an extremely spoiled and privileged white girl.

It seems like he and I are running around in complete circles trying to get something we want and we just can't get it you know?
I seem to keep forgetting about that, my bad.
no subject
He knows what he wants. He just thinks of himself undeserving of it, and avoids it at all costs because of that mentality.
How dare you forget that I am nothing more than a rich brat whom only wishes to snub people. If people were to find out I am more than a catty bitch, what would I do?
no subject
Hey now! When I told him I still had my old desktop with all of our conversations on it- he poked fun at me!
How do I make him feel deserving Rose, you seem to know everything.
Yes, you snub me every night by feeding me dinner, and making sure I have clothing on my back. WHICH I DON'T ASK YOU TO DO, JUST FOR CLEARANCE.
no subject
I think you know better than I do, honestly. And I can't spoon feed forever. Sometimes, it needs to be learned through experience. That is how a relationship is.
Of course not. I do it to flaunt myself and make me feel better. My fragile self esteem is all based on me spoiling you.
no subject
Rose. How will I ever repay you for keeping me up? :)

You're kidding right?

[You're too much fun to tease.]

Good night.
[Rose is still the most sly of bitches.]

[John closes his laptop, that night would be spent thinking and thinking until he finally gets the notion to just text Dave around 4 in the morning.]
Dave. Are you awake? It's probably a dumb question- when aren't you awake?
no subject
i have to watch kids in the next three hours
why in the seven fucking seas are you texting me now?
who even texts someone at four in the goddamn morning
no subject
I've had like maybe forty five minutes of sleep, maybe is the key word.
I thought you would be the best person to text.
What are you even doing up? Did i wake you?
no subject
thats all
[He doesn't really like sleeping. It doesn't usually end well. But he isn't going to admit he still can't handle a fucking nightmare to save his life. Even if those nightmares are just things he had to deal with growing up haunting him while he slept. Because life would be enough of a dick to make even sleeping a living hell.]
no subject
You sure you're gonna last all day with children?
[They will share that one day. But for tonight, they could just talk until either of them gave out.]
I've been thinking too much.
