[Closed] Day(care) Dreamers
Your name is Dave Strider. Usually you'd start this by saying how cool you are, but that's not actually true. You aren't actually all that cool nor do you actually care. You're old enough to have graduated college but you never went. You just can't really do this people thing, which is why it's so surprising as to how you got your job. You're a daycare worker at some place in the richer area of the city. Kids love you. You have no idea why. It's really weird, but you're not going to try and make a big deal out of it. You get paid well after all. Even though it's your main income, you actually do fairly well with your website. You DJ and you release original music on it and it makes pretty good money. Enough that if you ever lost your job, it would still support you.
You kind of grew up as this really tall, skinny shit. It's your damn metabolism and the only reason you aren't as skinny as you are is because your Bro made sure of it and you actually work out when you have time. That doesn't help with you being paler than any Twilight vampire and being assaulted by freckles. Also your hair kind of freaks people out or everyone thinks you dye it or something. Whatever.
It so happens that you're waiting for the last kid to get picked up. You're still trying to figure out how on Earth Rose somehow became a mom, but whatever. Apparently someone else is picking the kid up today and he's waiting for that person to do so. Seriously, it would be nice if they weren't so late.

theyre angels to me when im feeling lousy
for some reason
[There's a lot of reasons why Dave never talks about his family life.]
stop thinking and go to sleep
jesus dicks john
no subject
Kids have a way of understanding how you feel at that age I guess.
[He types a lot of things, and erases them.]
It's hard to stop thinking.
Sleeping is a lost cause.
no subject
lets be honest
so is there a reason why you contacted me specifically or am i just special?
no subject
You're the only person I knew for sure would be awake.
So I guess you're a special case.
no subject
weve barely spoken again and you already know my sleeping schedule
im starting to wonder if youve just been stalking me all my life
no subject
I was supposed to get sleep.
But that shit just isn't happening.
I don't count that as stalking though.
no subject
motherfuck
i told her to cut that out
everything she says about me is a lie
no subject
Dude, it's not like that.
I was too afraid to ask you, so I asked her.
no subject
guess whos keeping me up
and despite rumors about me
i dont actually bite
you havent done anything to merit pissing me off and receiving a punch to the dick
no subject
Sorry about that.
I'm glad to hear that. Because I actually wanted to ask if I was still allowed over.
no subject
im pretty much the lightest sleeper jackass
i thought we were friends again?
hanging out is usually an activity friends do
no subject
Yeah of course we are!
that's what I said!
Oh jesus, never mind me.
Do you mind if I come over after I drop Lily off later?
no subject
i feel like one everytime i step outside
shits cold
i guess why not
i dont have anything planned other than work
no subject
Makes me feel awesome to know you.
Good.
I'll around when I pick her up.
Want me to come back to the center when I have her home, or go straight to your house?
no subject
my place
i like to actually get food after work
and i dont want to keep waiting for your sorry ass at the daycare center
no subject
Alright, alright. I'll take her home and meet you at your place.
no subject
now go to sleep

Goodnight Dave.
[John would sleep till about one in the afternoon, and leisure around the house until about 3:30. Which is when he would normally get off work if he weren't running late. He assumes the parents at the daycare are already picking up their children. So he decides to go at about four o' clock. Everything is going to totally smooth today- HE IS SO ON TIME!]
Hi Dave, hello Lily. [He knows where they are, sitting right at the front desk like usual. Those adorable human beings.]
no subject
Lily holds out her arms to John, a big grin on her face. She is also sporting pigtails, although she probably looks a lot better than Dave with pigtails.]
no subject
[He turns back to Dave and just smiles.] I love the look Dave. The girls really did a good job on your hair.
no subject
They took advantage of me. They knew I didn't have the fight in me to fight back so they went and attacked my hair with scrunchies, hair ties and clips. [He starts shooing them both.] I got to go clean now. One of the kids accidentally knocked over the box of Legos and there are marbles everywhere. Being a daycare employee is suffering.
no subject
Alright Dave, just remember I'll be coming to your house whenever I drop her off. I'm only like thirty minutes earlier than I usually would be. So I'll be at your place in a jiff.
You're a saint for putting up with them. [And out the door he goes.]
no subject
But hey. John can find out why when he arrives at Dave's place. In the meantime, Dave is at least cooking. He assumes John hasn't eaten and cooking something would at least be a decent thing to do.</small.]
no subject
They also had to listen to her favorite CD. So there was that. Finally after he returns her home- he rushes back to Dave's house. Being careful to go ahead and go atleast 3 whole miles over the speed limit.
By the time he pulls up, Dave will either be almost home, or about to head home.]
no subject
He hasn't noticed John pull up yet. He's too busy finding his stupid keys.]
