Your name is Dave Strider. Usually you'd start this by saying how cool you are, but that's not actually true. You aren't actually all that cool nor do you actually care. You're old enough to have graduated college but you never went. You just can't really do this people thing, which is why it's so surprising as to how you got your job. You're a daycare worker at some place in the richer area of the city. Kids love you. You have no idea why. It's really weird, but you're not going to try and make a big deal out of it. You get paid well after all. Even though it's your main income, you actually do fairly well with your website. You DJ and you release original music on it and it makes pretty good money. Enough that if you ever lost your job, it would still support you.

You kind of grew up as this really tall, skinny shit. It's your damn metabolism and the only reason you aren't as skinny as you are is because your Bro made sure of it and you actually work out when you have time. That doesn't help with you being paler than any Twilight vampire and being assaulted by freckles. Also your hair kind of freaks people out or everyone thinks you dye it or something. Whatever.

It so happens that you're waiting for the last kid to get picked up. You're still trying to figure out how on Earth Rose somehow became a mom, but whatever. Apparently someone else is picking the kid up today and he's waiting for that person to do so. Seriously, it would be nice if they weren't so late.

I would hope not. [That's okay. Dave is being friendly affectionate back. It's odd, but Dave is kind of buzzed. This seems like a good idea.]

[John feels like it's okay to put his arms around Dave, maybe rely on him for balance. Yes this is a fantastic idea.]

I had a lot of fun tonight, spending time with you is what made it the most fun. [John is also a talkative drunk, more than usual.]

[Dave doesn't stop John at all. He just lets John get all touchy feely as he wants.]

I don't usually go out as often. I do take care of a bunch of miniature people as a day job.]

[Oh good, because John just planted a big kiss on his cheek.]

Yeah, they're all really fucking cute. [He does it again. Wow Dave smells nice still and is insanely warm.] I know you probably don't want me doing that, sorry.

[Oh hello, John. It's nice to see you too.

And there's that really happy smile like yesterday on Dave's face.] Naw, I guess it's cool.

If it don't bother you I guess I could give you a few more. That handsome smile sure deserves some. [That John does, he really thinks Dave is the cutest thing right now.]

You know Dave, you're like my best friend. I always thought we had like this....really amazing friendship! [John shut up and quit blabbering you're making a fool of yourself.]

Dude, shut up. [You're so embarrassing! You're embarrassing him!]

[longwinded]

[Half of John grabbing onto Dave like this for support, the other half is because "wow he's actually letting me".]

I'm not a goober, just a good friend. [Gotta have someone to cheert you up right? The next question just kinda falls out of his mouth.] Can I stay in your room tonight?

[Trying to get you up his apartment stairs is really hard. You're kind of like a rock right now!]

You're a total goober. [Dave pauses.] That's fine. [Dave will just take the couch again unless John stops him.]

[longwinded]

Man, whatever. [He's trying okay, between the giggles and the talking- John just isn't good at multitasking.]

Are you gonna come too?

[knightime]

[Trying to unlock his door.] Whatever. Sure. [He's not even really listening to John.]

[longwinded]

[John puts his hand on the key to help, whether he was actually helping or not was subject. But he's concentrated, tongue sticking out a little and an eyebrow raised at the dumb lock.]

I won't stay for long, promise. I'll just make sure you're comfortable.

[knightime]

[Oh my god, John. Just chill. He's got this, Jesus Christ. Dave finally gets the key in and his door opened though.]

Uh huh. I get it, John.

[longwinded]

[John shuts the door behind them. Pushing Dave up against it gently. He originally intended on just resting here for a moment- that was it.

But now more than ever does Dave look like the best thing to put his lips on. His brain was trying to stop him, that inkling of reasoning he had left. But nah, John is seeming to be pretty blunt in what he wants tonight. Pressing his lips right onto Dave's, more passionate this time than the last.

Though he's expecting another rejection.]

[You really like shoving him against walls or something. Not that he seems to mind.

And maybe Dave was a little drunker than he let on, or maybe he just doesn't care as much. He's returning the kiss, his fingers tangling into John's hair affectionately.

Nope. No rejection here.]

[longwinded]

[There was just something extremely intriguing about having Dave against a wall okay. John can't really help what he prefers.

John sighs gently before continuing the kiss, the hands in his hair were so nice and it felt good. He was honestly surprised Dave wanted anything to do with him at this point. But he wasn't going to give up his only chance to have Dave reciprocating no matter how drunk they really were.

John puts a hand on Dave's cheek, thumb stroking his temple as he attempted to let the kiss become more passionate.]

[You just like him against it, you pervert.

Dave just kisses back fervently, hands slowly tracing from his hair and down over his arms until they're resting on John's hips. Their glasses kind of keep clacking against each other and it's kind of annoying though.]

[longwinded]

[Yeah, yeah. He might be the biggest pervert of them all.


John has to pull back for a breath, where he slipped off his own glasses. He didn't need to see Dave to know how attractive he was. He brushed their noses and lips together, not fully pressing back in again.]

[knightime]

[He gripped John's shirt tightly, craving more physical contact and trying to pull John as close to him as possible. It won't be long until Dave sobers up some though.]

[longwinded]

[He can only hope Dave wouldn't sober up enough to push him away. John kisses Dave one more time, briefer this before putting his arms around him and burying his head in his the others shoulder. His own glasses were long forgotten on the floor.

It seemed as if John were getting comfortable now, just holding on as long as he was allowed.]

[knightime]

[He's sober enough to know that he's tired and standing here kind of sucks.] John. Get your fat butt off me. [He kind of lightly shoves at the other to start moving to the bedroom.]

Come on. If you fall asleep on me, I'm going to vomit on you and not regret it at all.

[longwinded]

[He wasn't falling asleep, geez. He smiles a little and stands upright, grabbing Dave's hand to start walking back to the room.]

I'm not that fat Dave! [John doesn't mean to walk slow, but he's just gonna grip the wall and Dave's hand and everything was gonna be alright.]

[knightime]

[Dave just let's John tug him back to his own room. Whatever. Not gonna stop the happy drunk from doing what he wants.]

Of course not. I'm just a stick.

[longwinded]

You're not a stick, you're really handsome and you are really awesome. Definitely not a stick.

[John took that so literally it pains everyone involved in this conversation. John was starting to sober up a little but he needed to sleep off the rest and take his hangover with pride. Soon enough they've made it back to Dave's room and John tugs him over to the bed- unmade from the night before.

[That's okay. It's not like Dave ever makes his own bed.] We've somehow made it to my bedroom. Congratulations.
