Your name is Dave Strider. Usually you'd start this by saying how cool you are, but that's not actually true. You aren't actually all that cool nor do you actually care. You're old enough to have graduated college but you never went. You just can't really do this people thing, which is why it's so surprising as to how you got your job. You're a daycare worker at some place in the richer area of the city. Kids love you. You have no idea why. It's really weird, but you're not going to try and make a big deal out of it. You get paid well after all. Even though it's your main income, you actually do fairly well with your website. You DJ and you release original music on it and it makes pretty good money. Enough that if you ever lost your job, it would still support you.

You kind of grew up as this really tall, skinny shit. It's your damn metabolism and the only reason you aren't as skinny as you are is because your Bro made sure of it and you actually work out when you have time. That doesn't help with you being paler than any Twilight vampire and being assaulted by freckles. Also your hair kind of freaks people out or everyone thinks you dye it or something. Whatever.

It so happens that you're waiting for the last kid to get picked up. You're still trying to figure out how on Earth Rose somehow became a mom, but whatever. Apparently someone else is picking the kid up today and he's waiting for that person to do so. Seriously, it would be nice if they weren't so late.

He's done with ever talking to me. He came by to return something I gave him and left. [Of course, that's probably why he's even more upset about this.]

[How is that? Though dealing with a drunken Egbert is deserving of a medal.]

That didn't sound like he just dropped by though. [John is such a nosy person. He still wants to kick this guys ass.]

You- [Dave is in John's face. He's gritting his teeth.] stay out of my fucking business. What happened is between that sorry fuck and myself.

[John just turns, huffs, and takes himself right back down the hallway and into his own room. Fuck Dave's room right now. Dave should not expect John to speak with him for at least a couple of hours.

Right now John is going back and forth over whether to contact Rose or not. While John feels bad for prying in Dave's business, he doesn't feel bad for trying to stick up for him. Jesus fuck. In the end he'll probably end up texting Dave.]

[Dave is just going to be at his turntables, ignoring everything. He didn't want to talk about it and he wasn't telling the guy he kind of has a huge thing for about it.

Plus, he hated when someone pushed him to make him talk about things he was obviously being cagey with.]

[John didn't want to argue with the guy he had a huge thing for. The one almost clear thing he can remember from last night is that when they came home, they ended up kissing by the door way. It was a hazy memory, so he doesn't really remember how they got to Dave's room or why Dave stayed for that matter. But it happened.

So he had snuck his way back into the kitchen, and started making that breakfast, which would now be considered lunch. Probably anyways. Maybe the good kitchen smells would draw Dave back out since John is making it very apparent that he's making it for two people and not just himself.]

[Dave hadn't left his room since he went back to it. The other was probably ignoring everything, even if neither of them have eaten yet. Dave, unfortunately, was kind of a stubborn brat when he wanted to be. And it didn't help that he was pretty sure John was just trying to lure him out of his room.

So he just stubbornly stays inside.]

[But he really didn't want Dave to go hungry. That was just not what best bros did to one another. Nope. So he takes a plate to Dave's door and knocks.

Just. Open the door.]

[The closer John got to the door, the more obvious Dave's bass was. It was a slow beat though, and it only slightly shook the ground in a rather rhythmic way.

But there's no response from Dave. It wouldn't be a surprise since Dave usually kept his headphones jacked in.]

[longwinded]

[He was dropping the bass in a really attractive manner. So John will just jiggle the door handle, open the door. Place the food and a cup of iced tea on the dresser and walk back out.

It's rude to disturb a musician, or John was just to chicken to talk to him right now.]

[It looks like whatever Dave was sampling is what's making the bass.

Dave was actually passed out at his turntables and mixers. Shades discarded on the floor and his head resting on his arms. Dave kept his room darker than the rest of the place. Probably because he actually took his shades off while in here. His headphones were sitting around his neck, but he was definitely out like a light.]

[John had situated himself on the couch, and when Dave didn't come out for another hour he makes his way back there. The food and drink was untouched and Dave was still in the same position. Oh, John was a total idiot. Dave had been asleep this entire time hasn't he? He bent over to pick up the shades, folding them and tucking them into his hoodie pocket.

He went around the equipment and gently took the headphones from around the others neck, and then looping an arm around Dave's waist to try and gently get him to stand up. The bed wasn't that far away.]

Come on bro, we gotta move you to your bed. It's time for you to snooze in another place, preferably where you can be comfortable.

[Dave groaned a bit, clinging to John a bit when the other starts moving. He cracks his eyes a bit, and it's probably the first time John's really seen Dave's eyes. Blond eyelashes completely contrasting with the bright red eyes that Dave has. He looks at John sleepily, before closing them again.

He was fine where he was.]

Mfff. I mwas fhingghhh.

[longwinded]

[John just wants to tell Dave how wonderful his eyes are, how breathtaking they are. But now just isn't the right time. He opts to press his lips to Dave's temple, not really giving Dave a huge choice of whether he wanted to move or not.]

Come on, I don't want you getting a crick in your neck. Just hold onto me and we'll get you just a few steps over. All right?

[Dave just kind of clings to the other, not replying. If John wants to drag him to his bed, fine. He's not going to make the effort though. Screw you, he just wants to sleep this entire day away.]

[longwinded]

[He will get Dave to bed, he's feather-lite. So he can pretty much just drag him to bed. He gets to the edge of the bed. Now all Dave has to do is uncling.]

[knightime]

[Dave is a fucking koala. Good luck. He seems comfortable kind of tucked in against John.]

[longwinded]

[Fine, fine. You win Dave. You win. John lifts Dave again and tried to situate them in the bed together.]

[Dave just grunts a bit before curling up against John, snuggling against the other before burying his face against him.]

[longwinded]

[John sighs quietly in defeat, putting his chin on top of Dave's head and settling in to fall back asleep with his arms around the other. This was going to be interesting when they wake up again.]

[They've basically wasted this entire day sleeping in Dave's bed.

But Dave does finally sit up later and John probably feels Dave sleepily pat at him, but he's actually groping around for his sunglasses.]

[longwinded]

[That's cool, they probably needed the sleep anyways.

John stirs for a moment, opening his eyes before they drifted back shut. It took a moment to register what Dave was looking for. He reaches into his own hoodie pocket- producing the shades and placing them right into the open hand Dave was still groping with.

John however goes back to his original position, arm around Dave and comfortable.]

[Dave shoes them back on and is kind of...]

Uh. John.

[Why are you sleeping in his bed with him...again.]

[longwinded]

[John looks back up, a puzzled look on his face. Why was Dave interrupting important cuddling time? He opens his mouth to speak, his voice hoarse and scratchy from sleeping the entire day.]

Yeah? What is it Dave?

How'd you end up back in my bed?

[He doesn't remember how he ended up in bed in the first place. He was pretty sure he was at his turntables, so this is actually kind of weird in general.]
