to talk kinda cant ignore this one sorry no seriously im sorry for all of it but im not going to avoid you or anyone else im here for however long i am sometimes time is too short
[There's no final note, Dave just goes where the other said to go. He's not wearing his poke clothes or the godtier, but a mixture of the two. Dark pants and the steel toed godtier shoes, the red time shirt and his black jacket thrown over the top of it. He waits like a kid playing hooky in high-school with his back against the wall and hands in his pockets.
He waits and thinks. Just like he has on the meteor for two damn years.]
[Dave is wearing his god tier. He looks weary and Dave hasn't really been eating proper since he's gotten back to normal. It doesn't help that he's acutely aware that he's been seeing the units more often and fuck if that was unsettling.
Actually, he may be running to the room because of how unsettling it is.
[He hears the sound of running footsteps and darts forward, opening the door and seizing hold of his counterpart. He yanks him inside while calling on time to slip between the seconds and have them both inside. His sword is in his hand and he presses back against the door ready to stab whatever is coming.
[Dave's clinging to the other, his breath coming in small pants. He loosens his grip when he realizes how tightly he's been clinging to the other. Actually, he even tries to put distance between them. Not because he minds or anything, but because the memory of gears crushing bone is still too fresh in his mind and he's disgusted with himself.
He hopes it just makes it seem like he's giving the other space though.] I wasn't in danger. [He just felt uncomfortable. Like that acute feeling of being watched.]
Then what's up? [Time hadn't hurt to use. The realization leaves him blinking behind his shades and sending little ripples of time out to be sure. It distracts him as he exhales and tips his head back to thump against the door.
It hadn't been that long, but the experience still feels like an eternity. Well, it was longer for him. Three times what it was for other people. Dave pointedly doesn't think about it.]
[Dave glances around the room. He's always kind of been on edge for awhile now, but it's gotten worst with all that's happened.] I think I've been compromised. I keep seeing retrieval units, more often. I could just think I'm flipping my shit, but coincidences don't happen here.
[Dave shoves his hands in his pockets. He's tired.] It's been like that since...[He trails off from that.]
[Dave's face is completely neutral. He just stands there staring for a moment. Like, he's trying to figure out if that was something Dave actually said.] T-That not even something I usually think about?!
[Dude. Why. WHY. Dave's face goes red immediately. That is not an act he has really done since being here. Which is a long ass time since it's been over a year. BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT.]
Me either but the point still stands. [Surprisingly, he hasn't gone red. It's been like two years and something months since he did that really regularly.] So.
Maybe they'd beat feet if you want, sorry dudes it's me time.
Opp, guess we are. [Actually, it's all some big disaction and he looks up at the ceiling.]
Just remember they did things to you to make you act like that. You fought until they had their way. All you can do here. Not blaming you for a damn thing.
It gets harder to convince yourself that. [Dave admits. It's really hard. You think you've gotten better at dealing with the stuff here, but in reality it gets harder and you know you're slipping.
And he doesn't know how to stop himself from continue that slip.] Who's to say I won't end up doing it again either.
[It's comforting, but it's also not all that comforting.]
Be nice if it was as easy as that. Who'd think that this god tier bullshit could be such a shitty thing in this place. [He can't completely hate it, but there have been moments where it's caused him more trouble than it's worth.]
Doesn't change what I'll do. I'll stop you. Somehow. [Pain in the ass Godtier might be, he knows how to use time even when limited. He knows it so well he can out maneuver himself if needed.]
I don't really want it to have to be a thing. [Even if he knows that it'll happen again. He just doesn't want to have to put this on Dave's shoulders. Or anyone's for that matter.]
I don't either. [It's the truth. He'd rather not have to lift a sword and point it at anyone he knows. But the reality is...]
But I can't sit back and let things like this continue. [It's on his shoulders whether they like it or not. He hates how this whole place feels like the session hyped up on octane fuel.] Thought I could power through it.
But.
I can't.
[This is unfortunately a glimmer of how worn down he already is from home and the darker moods he'll be in to come.]

What we usually thought would work doesn't exactly work here. It's kind of shitty though. I'm still not sure how to get through this.
That isn't just a will of steel and a hell of a lot of pain to get through the process.
