John helps Lily as she devours the ice cream cake, scolding her when she eats it a bit too fast and figures out it's a bit too cold for that he just wipes her face a little with a napkin and lets her finish. He finishes his after that.

"I have an idea Miss Lily." She brightens up of course. "How about Dave and I walk you back to my car and we take you on home, and if it's okay with the birthday boy we can take him with us."
